HI Readers! I FINALLY got the game Minecraft! Whoop! (Well, I got it at May…) I haven’t made an review of a game yet but let’s see if this goes well. I haven’t been doing book reviews for a time but I certainly will do it sooner or later. But I will be adding game reviews now!
Minecraft is a 3D Sandbox game which is made out of blocks. In the game you have to basically survive by living through challenges. To beat the game there is a realm called the End to beat a boss. It is a free-flowing game with no story. You can make up your own story with you own way through the game. Then your adventure begins as you go through the challenges I have told you about.
In the beginning you start off at a place where you were spawned (spawn points are where you start out from). Then you go through these achievements by a chart. After that you must survive your first night in a shelter to hide from monsters. Therefore after the first night you must go on adventures like: get pets, gather resources, or finding food to eat (or farming it). Once you get established to the world you live in you can go do harder achievements like: finding diamonds, going to a whole new different realms, creating potions, or enchanting.
I find something very unique about Minecraft that makes it different from other 3D Sandbox games. It is realistic with all it’s blocks and items that humans actually had to go through (for some cases like going to a whole new different realm isn’t really true to life yet though). Crafting, smelting, domesticating animals (in other words, taming wild beasts) and slaughtering things or growing plants to get food are all things humans in the past have done. Otherwise the surviving in the game would have to include the story that the player MUST do.
So I think, that if you are a PC gamer who likes free-flowing games with no story this-game is for you. The game is wonderful entertainment to pass the time or to do in your spare time. The surviving and adventure in this game have a great combination for role players, Dungeons and Dragons players or any kind of computer-game loving gamer.
